MD-20 Lions Clubs Endorsed Project
We provide matching funds for projects that are beyond the financial reach of individual Lions Clubs or Lions sub-districts for the benefit their Community from the collective fundraising efforts from Lions Clubs, their community, and the NYSBLF.
Our Mission
​
The New York State and Bermuda Lions Foundation, Inc. is a non-profit organization that assists in the support of Lions Clubs and their members throughout New York State and Bermuda.
The NYS & BLF solely, or in conjunction with Lions Clubs, foundations, and other organizations, provides its assistance through a grant process or through direct or indirect programs and services with an emphasis on sight, hearing, and humanitarian services.
Since its founding in 1992, the NYS & BLF has approved over $917,975 for service projects and emergencies that have improved the quality of life in many communities in New York State and Bermuda.
Our mission is to provide support for worthy projects, which would otherwise be beyond the means of individual clubs or districts to accomplish on their own.
Our Purpose
The NYS & BLF is a not-for-profit 501(c)(3) organization through which funds are raised for specific service projects and programs solely within New York State and Bermuda.
It is an officially endorsed project of the Lions Multiple District 20 which includes all Lions and Lions Clubs in New York and Bermuda.
These projects and activities are led by volunteers who are members of local community Lions Clubs who are also
members of the International Association of Lions Clubs, an organization that includes over 1.35 million members in 207 countries and geographical areas worldwide.
The NYS & BLF, through its endowment, is able to provide matching funds for projects that are beyond the reach of individual Lions Clubs or Lions sub-districts because of local financial constraints or the scope of the project.
Communities throughout New York State and Bermuda are able to benefit from the collective efforts of the members of their local Lions Clubs and the NYS & BLF.
The NYS & BLF is a totally volunteer organization with no paid staff and minimal administrative expenses.
